Michele Procino-Wells, Esquire

Michele Procino-Wells is a member of the bars of the Supreme Court of the State of Delaware, the United States District Court for the District of Delaware and the United States Tax Court. She has been practicing law since 1995.

Michele is a graduate of Laurel High School (1987), Laurel, Delaware; Penn State University (B.A., Communications, 1991), University Park/ State College, Pennsylvania; Widener University School of Law (J.D., Cum Laude, 1995), Wilmington, Delaware; and Villanova University School of Law (LL.M., Taxation & Estate Planning, 1998), Villanova, Pennsylvania.

Michele started her practice at Schmittinger & Rodriguez in Dover in 1995. In 1998, she began practicing in Georgetown at George B. Smith, Attorneys at Law, which later - after she became a partner in 2000 - became known as Smith, O'Donnell, Procino & Berl, LLP. In March 2005, Michele opened her own office, now known as Procino Wells, LLC, located at 225 High Street, Seaford, Delaware.

Michele concentrates her practice in estate planning and administration, real estate, elder law and business formations. She is a member of ElderCounsel, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the National Care Planning Council and the Delaware and Sussex County Bar Associations.

Michele is a past President of Soroptimist International of Seaford, Inc., and is currently the Treasurer of Soroptimist's related foundation, the Curiosity Service Foundation, Inc. Michele is a member of the Board of Directors of Nanticoke Health Services, Inc. which operates Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, Delaware. She is also on the Board of the Seaford Community Swim Center, Inc.

In law school, Michele was the recipient of a Certificate of Achievement, Federal Income Tax, Widener University School of Law. Michele was also a member of honor societies, Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Delta Phi. She was also a member of The Widener Law Symposium Journal, 1994-1995. She is the author of: Note, "The Death of Health Care Reform In 1994: Another Example of Congress' Inability to Enact Major Reform," 1 The Widener Law Symposium Journal, 547, 1996.

Michele resides in Seaford with her husband, John Wells and their four sons, Chase, Josh, Will and Jack. Most of Michele's "free" time is spent cheering for her boys at baseball games, football games or swim meets!

Amber B. Woodland, Esquire

Amber B. Woodland is a member of the bar of the Supreme Court of the State of Delaware. She is also accredited by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to prepare, present and prosecute claims for veterans before the VA.

Amber is a graduate of Seaford Senior High School (2004), Seaford, Delaware; Flagler College (Bachelor of Arts Degree, Psychology, Cum Laude, 2007), Saint Augustine, Florida; and Regent University School of Law (J.D., 2010), Virginia Beach, Virginia. Amber also studied Spanish in 2006 at Intercultura Language School and Cultural Center in Heredia, Costa Rica.

Amber also began working at Procino Wells, LLC in the summer of 2006. She continued to work part-time for the firm throughout law school and joined the firm as an associate attorney in 2010.

Amber has served as the Chairperson for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program. She also received recognition in an article titled "Healing Healthcare Through Tax Reform," Regent Journal of Law & Public Policy, Volume 2, Number 1, Spring 2010, 63, for her editing and research assistance. In addition, Amber served as a legal intern for a law office in Newport News, Virginia, where she primarily concentrated in the areas of estate and tax planning.

Amber's practice is now focused in estate planning and administration, real estate, and elder law, with primary emphasis in guardianships and planning to avoid the devastating costs of long term care.

Amber is the current treasurer of Soroptimist International of Seaford and a member of the Board of Directors for the Southern Delaware Estate Planning Council. She is also a member of ElderCounsel; the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys; and the Delaware and Sussex County Bar Associations.

Amber currently resides in Seaford, Delaware with her husband, Justin Woodland, and daughter, Layla Brooke. Most of Amber's spare time is spent with family and friends, volunteering, or traveling.

Erin L. Steele, Elder Law Coordinator

Erin was born and raised in Lewistown, Pennsylvania. She is a graduate of Shippensburg University, in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania (Bachelor of the Arts in English, 2000). After completion of her education she moved to Bethany Beach, Delaware. Erin's career began at a law firm in Georgetown, where she was employed from 2002-2005. She earned valuable experience in estate planning, estate administration and tax law during that time. In 2005 Erin accepted a marketing assistant position at a continuing care retirement community in Seaford. During her seven years there she was promoted from marketing assistant to sales counselor to marketing manager. In 2012 Erin accepted an admissions director position at a rehabilitation and health center and remained there prior to joining Procino Wells, LLC. in March 2013. Erin's experience in serving mature adults, legal services, sales and marketing has prepared her for her role as elder law coordinator at Procino Wells, LLC.

Erin resides in Georgetown, Delaware with her husband, Jesse. She enjoys exercising, animals, traveling, skiing, reading, baseball, going to the beach, and time with friends and family.

Erin A. Dukes, Real Estate Coordinator

Erin A. Dukes is originally from Hamilton, Ohio where she attended Hamilton High School. She is a graduate of Lee University (B.S., Business Administration and English, 2006) in Cleveland, Tennessee. Before marrying and moving to the Eastern Shore, Erin interned at the headquarters of Life Care Centers of America in Cleveland, Tennessee in the Legal Claims department, gaining valuable experience in dealing with the court system, civil procedure, and business law. She joined Procino Wells, LLC in August, 2006. She began working as a legal assistant to the attorneys at Procino Wells, LLC and is currently the real estate coordinator.

Erin lives in Laurel with her husband, Jeremy, and their son, Emory. When she is not enjoying play-time with Emory, Erin spends her free time working out, reading, cooking, and scrapbooking.

Kirsten L. Briggs, Estate Planning Coordinator

Kirsten L. Briggs has served as Michele Procino-Wells' legal assistant since 2008. She is a graduate of Concord High School (1993), Wilmington, Delaware and The University of Delaware (B.A., Performing Arts, 1999), Newark, Delaware.

After graduating from college, Kirsten worked for a large architectural and engineering firm headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, where she served as a marketing coordinator and an executive administrative assistant. This position marked the beginning of a ten year journey in sales and marketing, along with a high level executive administrative assistance position. In 2001, Kirsten moved back home to Wilmington, Delaware where she continued her career in the design and construction industry. Prior to her move to Sussex County, Kirsten also served as the sole administrative support to fourteen executives at a start-up, online bank.

In her years as a marketing professional, Kirsten served as a committee member and fundraiser for various charities. Kirsten also enjoys athletics, the outdoors and the quietude of Sussex County.

Gayle M. Weber, Estate Administration Coordinator

Gayle M. Weber, who joined the Procino Wells, LLC team in October 2012, is a graduate of West High School, Rockford, Illinois. She lived in Chester County, Pennsylvania, and St. Charles, Missouri, before she and her husband, Mark, purchased a home in Delmar, Maryland, to be within driving distance of their three daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren.

After spending many years in health insurance and construction administration and management, Gayle returned to college and earned her Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies from St. Louis Community College. As a paralegal, she worked in estate planning, estate administration and business prior to moving to the Delmarva Peninsula and joining Procino Wells, LLC.

In their free time, Gayle and Mark enjoy spending time with family and friends, hiking, fishing, camping, backpacking, cooking and renovating their home.

Ashley M. Adams, Client Services and Marketing Director

Ashley M. Adams is a graduate of Sussex Technical High School (2009) and The University of Delaware (B.S., Finance, 2013). During the summers since high school, she worked as an administrative assistant for a local University's Research and Education Center.

Ashley lives in Seaford with her parents, Rick and Joyce, and sister, Abby. In her spare time she enjoys boating, going to the beach and spending time with friends and family.

Ashley's fresh perspective and enthusiasm are a perfect fit for the Client Services and Marketing Director position at Procino Wells, LLC.

Lonyai Downing, Office Manager

Lonyai T. Downing is a graduate of Lake Forest High School (2000) and Delaware Technical & Community College, Georgetown, DE (A.A. Office Administration/ Paralegal 2011). After graduating from Delaware Tech, Lonyai worked part-time as a Paralegal for a family law attorney.

Lonyai has over ten years experience in office management, and is currently pursuing her B.S. in Organizational Management at Wilmington University. She joined the Procino Wells, LLC. team in January of 2012 as receptionist/ legal assistant. She is now employed as Office Manager.

Lonyai currently resides in Harrington, Delaware with her husband Earl and three sons Zion, Malik, & Deavion. She enjoys cooking, traveling, and attending the boys' sporting events.

Rachelle D. Jefferson, Receptionist / Legal Assistant

Rachelle D. Jefferson is a graduate of Woodbridge High School (2001) and Dover Beauty Academy (Cosmetology). After practicing cosmetology for several years, Rachelle changed her career by working as a Legal Assistant for a law firm in Dover. Rachelle has experience in estate administration and debt collection.

Rachelle lives in Bridgeville with her husband Tommy, and her two girls, Alyssa and Madison. She attends Crossroad Community Church in Bridgeville and enjoys reading and spending time with her family.

Lauren R. Quigley, Legal Assistant

Lauren R. Quigley joined the Procino Wells, LLC team in 2013. She is a graduate of Delaware County Christian School (1999), Newtown Square, Pennsylvania and The University of Delaware (B.S. Animal Science, 2003), Newark, Delaware.

After graduating college, Lauren worked on a horse farm, as a bicycle courier, as a personal trainer and as a barista. These odd jobs, where she met many Wilmington attorneys and staff, eventually led to a job in a bankruptcy and intellectual property firm where she worked for 5 years as the office assistant learning and growing skills needed for a fast paced industry.

Lauren lives in Wilmington with her husband and 2 daughters, Kylie and Zoey. Lauren spends her free time reading, cooking, bicycling, and playing with her children.
